SUMMERONTHERIO aka “Carmen”

SUMMERONTHERIO aka “Carmen” is a 7-year-old, sorrel, AQHA mare by 2005 NCHA Open World Champion BOBS HICKORY RIO (LTE 148,210 and PTE +747k) and out of a granddaughter of Remminic. She weighs 1150 lbs, 14.3 hands tall, and wears a 0 size shoe. Carmen has been used on the ranch since she was 3 years old and has done all aspects of ranch work, from doctoring (alone or with someone), sorting, and branding cattle. We have started using her for heeling with limited time on the roping the sled and believe she would make a great rope horse prospect. In the right hands we believe Carmen would make a great horse for sorting, ranch horse versatility, or AQHA shows. She has spent the last two years in cow camp in steep and rough terrain where she also packed salt, so we know she really knows how to use her feet. She will also be shown some this winter in the Central Wyoming Cutting Club. She’s great to shoe, tie, load, and be around on the ground. We are proud to offer the first horse we have raised and trained to the public. We really enjoy Carmen and think she will be a nice addition to anyone’s string and eventually their broodmare band!
