I’m Joe Wood. I am blessed with a great family; wife Britnee, 2 daughters…Deana (age 18), Leah (age 15) and one son Caswell (age 2). We live in the mountains of Northwestern Colorado where we own and operate a backcountry outfitting business Code of the West Outfitters. This is a completely horseback operation that requires about 100 head of horses and mules; as such, we get a lot of miles in the saddle, packing and hunting. In addition to the outfitting business, we take care of a grazing permit in the summer and look after the same cattle on the desert in the winter. We also rope and rodeo, so our lives revolve around the horse and I am blessed to have a family that shares my enthusiasm for the greatest animal God made, and the greatest people who build their lives around them.
