Tyrel Tucker

Tyrel Tucker is a 36 year old cowboy who was born and raised in Clark, Wyoming on his family ranch. He was horseback before he could walk and has never taken a break from that lifestyle. Three years ago he moved back to Clark after traveling the country and is now raising his two kids on the ranch he grew up on with his wife, Mindy.

In his twenties Tyrel attended a Brian Neubert Horse Training Clinic and Clinton Anderson Horse Training Clinic to extend his knowledge. While these clinics gave him great ideas to work with on his horses, he started his career of horse training as a kid working with his many family members that also raised horses. He started his first colt at the age of 10 and has not stopped since selling his first horse at the age of 18.

Along with selling at least a horse a year since starting this business, he has also worked on numerous ranches across the Western United States. At these ranches he would break ranch owned colts to use for branding, doctoring, sorting and everyday tasks. He worked in Arizona at Babbitt Ranch; in Nevada at the Winecup Gamble Ranch; in Wyoming at the Hoodoo Ranch, Sunlight Ranches, Arapaho Ranch, and Trail Creek Ranch; and in Montana at the Pryor Creek Ranch and Sunlight Ranch. Between working these ranches, he also took time to start colts and shoe horses for the public. Working in these different areas and country has brought a wider range of his expectations for his horse's performances.

Moreover, the big moment that changed his view of a finished horse was having his two kids, Ike (7) and Lyla (5). Being an experienced horseman makes you capable of riding any horse given to you, but being confident putting your children on a horse makes you want that horse to be perfect. Tyrel does not waste his time any more with horses that will hurt someone or that his kids can't ride.

Additionally, Tyrel is an experienced rawhide braider, leather worker, and silversmith. He spends most of his spare time braiding rawhide tack. The projects he makes are started from the beginning by cutting the hide, stretching and drying it, and cutting it into strings to make reins, bosals, under-bridals, hangers and more.

Tyrel Tucker prides himself in his honesty and integrity. If he feels like a horse has a hole somewhere he will tell you. He may not be dressed in the fanciest clothes or wearing the cleanest hat, but he is dependable and doesn't have to do those things to show off the gentle and reliable horses he sells.
